In October 2006, Visitation Home was presented with a $10,000 grant from Washington Group Foundation. Two of our Board Members, Peggy Catalina and Bruce Andersen, are employees of Washington Group International, which is a large engineering, construction, and program management company with offices in Princeton, NJ and over 40 states and 30 countries.
Washington Group has played a major role in many well known historic projects, including the Hoover Dam, the San Francisco Bay Bridge, the Trans-Alaska Pipeline, and the Kennedy Space Center.
Today, the company is involved in many large public and private programs, ranging from electric power plants, oil & gas facilities, highways and public transportation systems, to mining operations and a number of US Government Energy and Homeland Security projects including the management and operations of national laboratories and the disposal and destruction of chemical agents and nuclear weapons.
As shown in the photo above, Denise Reil, Visitation Home's Executive Director, was the honored recipient of the Washington Group grant in a presentation ceremony at their Princeton office on October 25.
We are truly blessed to have Washington Group as a friend and supporter of Visitation Home.
